Biography

Born in the historic city of Enugu on March 15, 1965, Chukwudi Okafor learned the values of hard work, integrity, and community service from his parents - a dedicated school teacher and a community health worker. These humble beginnings shaped his understanding of the struggles and aspirations of ordinary Nigerians.

After earning a first-class degree in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he proceeded to Harvard Kennedy School for his Master's in Public Administration. His career spans banking, corporate leadership, and public service.

As Governor of Anambra State (2014-2022), his administration achieved unprecedented progress in infrastructure, education, and economic development. Under his leadership, the state's GDP doubled, over 200,000 jobs were created, and 500km of roads were constructed across all local government areas.
